INSTAGRAM // Nowhere to go but everywhere

A little Instagram update! Right now I'm in the middle of my exams to finish this first semester. Tomorrow I'll have my last exam and monday morning my final presentation. I'm doing everything I can to escape the studying, hihi. Like writing this blog post, but after this one I'm going to the libary. Ohh and after monday morning I'll be flying out of Holland! Paul planned a few days abroad for the two of us. For me it is a suprise where we are going, but I know that the flight is about 2 hours and the temprature is around 17-20 degrees. I love the fact that I don't know where we're going!
1. Wandering in the woods, it is so nice to visit the woods these autumn days 2. From where I stand, found this amazing floor in Nijmegen 3. Another photo of the pretty Nijmegen 4. Janne and I shot outfit photographs again, you can see this outfit in my previous post! 5. This elderflower drink at Bairro Alto was soo delicious! 6. Me and paul, last tuesday we had our anniversary 7. Came home to this triangl bikini yesterday! I'm in love and hopefully I'm able to wear it on the trip with Paul! 8. Another photo from the woods 9. Still in love with the photos of this outfit, the jumper is so comfy and matched the location so good!
What do you think of these photos? And ahh almost weekend, have a lovely one!

OUTFIT // The perfect printed A-line skirt

Pull&Bear A-line skirt // Brandy Melville grey jumper // Dr.Martens shoes // Unknown watch
Photographs: Janne
There is the first outfit with one of my new Pull&Bear items: I'm wearing a new A-line skirt. This printed one is just so gorgeous, I really love the 70's style print it has. A few days ago I watched the movie 'Clueless' (again) and this skirt would be easily something Cher would wear. I love the fact that those 70's prints and styles are coming back: I'm so in love with A-line skirts lately. I don't know if that is because they're "in fashion", or the fact that I see them everywhere but I don't really care that much. If you start thinking too much about fashion or what you are wearing it gets really complicated. Just just got to wear it if you love it. And that is what I did with this pretty skirt.
I combined it with one of my favourite Brandy Melville jumpers and my all time favourite Dr.Martens. Black shoes are the best for every outfit. Oh and I love this location too! It is in the village I live (when I'm not in my room in Utrecht) and those stairs with the white rail are just lovely.
What do you think of this outfit? Are you as much in love with this skirt as I am?

PHOTOGRAPHY // Autumn Atmospheres (in black&white)

Since, ehmm, since "not so long" I'm photographing with my Canon on the 'M' stand. That not so long is about 1 or 2 months (first I always used 'AV'). It took me a while to figure all the options out but photograping Manual pleases me well. It is such a nice thing that with the 'M' you can transform your image exactly the way you want to.
These are some photographs from lately/this autumn. I loved how they turned out but they were all quit different so I didn't knew what to do with them. But they all had one thing in common: these photos carry a big autumn atmosphere... And that is how this autumn series arised.
1. The beautiful hydrangeas are changing their colours just like the trees and the colour differences are so lovely! 2. When the sun painted my lace curtains on the wall, I love this shadow effect. 3&5. Two weekends ago I gave the forrest a visit and took some photos there too. (that photo of me walking in the woods is at the same time a little preview for an upcoming outfit post!). I think if there is one thing that reflects autumn it must be visiting the woods(/forrest). 4. Last week I had this really, really good "Caramel Choclate Crunch Milk" at Muggs&Muffins. Such a lovely autumn drink! It was with crunched maltezers and cream on top which was the best!
What do you think of these autumn photographs?

LOVELY LOCATIONS + NEW IN // The Tea Lab (Rotterdam) & New clothes (big jumper, A-line skirt)

Rotterdam, Westewagenstraat 80
Okay, so in this post I'm trying a little different setup: combining two items (Lovely Locations + New). Since both of them are from the same day&city I thought why not put them in a blog post together. Last monday I went to Rotterdam with my dear friend Marlou (If you're reading this today Lou: Happy Birthdayyyy!). We mostly went there to see (and shop) the new Forever21. Sadly the both of us didn't find something that we really liked/wanted, plus it was so crowded that day! But neverthless we had a lovely day in Rotterdam with some shopping and visiting The Tea Lab.
The Tea Lab was our first stop. After I saw Chantal's post about this lovely tea house I really wanted to give it a visit myself. It is such a good place to escape a while from all the shops and take some time for a good talk with good tea. Also their interior and cash desk are so pretty but I forgot to take photos of those, so you'll have to do it with these photos of us and what we ordered (which I really don't mind). We both had an amazing piece of the red velvet cake, really it was so good! Just like all the flavours on The Tea Lab's menu. I had Citrus&Spice with ginger and Marlou took the Candy Crush with berries. In short: we had a lovely time there with the loveliest cake&tea.
Pull&Bear Jumper&skirt
As said before we also did some shopping. Rotterdam has an amazing variety of shops. We discovered an Urban Outfitters, the Weekday, a big Pull&Bear and ofcourse the (new) Forever21. We both found the things we wanted (only) at Pull&Bear. The lovely big jumper I bought had cought my eye already a few days ago. I love all the colours in this jumper, they make it so easy to combine, this would be great with red, blue, black, white, grey. Those are (for me) a lot options. Plus this one is so soft and comfy, so another new item where I can live in. And than this skirt, ahh I'm even more in love with this one. The print on it is so 70's and the fit is perfect too. I already got so many outfits in mind with these new items (so there will be outfit posts with these soon).
So that turned out as a pretty long post, but I found them too little to post separately. What do you think of these 2 little posts together? Since monday in Rotterdam I'm wearing my new jumper non stop. What do you think of my new items? And Have you ever been to The Tea Lab?

OUTFIT // Back to big jumpers

New Look jumper - Cheap Monday high skinnies - Pull&Bear ankle heels
Photographs: Janne
A new look! Janne and I wandered around Nijmegen for a nice (new) place to shoot outfit photos. We walked into some different streets than we usually do and found this amazing big place next to a lovely old pink-ish building. This very big place is just behind the street where we normally search for a good location (hezelstraat). I'm in love with this place, it is so clean and at the same time it has something very vintage, which I love. Everytime I get home from the city and made outfit photographs that turned out well it always feels like going home with a shopping bag filled with something new. Does anyone get that feeling? It has something very lovely.
The light/old-pink colour of the building matched my jumper really good. The jumper is one real old but since this outfit I rediscovered it. I love the fact that it is so big I could live in this piece of clothing forever. So for these days I'm back to big jumpers and more comfy items (to drink tea in for example) To make it a little less loose I combined it with my high waist skinnies and some heels and tucked the jumper in. I really love the close up photos Janne made of me. The jumper there is so well pointed out (and I like my head, haha). Ohh and i love the colours so much in these photos, the light cold effect they have is beautiful (at least, that's what I think). Do you like this outfit? Oh and have a lovely sunday!

From beast to beauty // Dyed button skirt

Finally I have time to put this 'From beast to beauty' online! I found this white skirt last month at primark: it was a sale item for  5 euros, and at the cash desk it was only 1 euro (?!?!), 1 euro for this lovely button skirt. I'm in love with that. I love the fact that it was white, but winter&autumn is coming isn't a good combination. A white skirt with tights is mostly not that nice (only if you combine it good but then you only have one outfit with this piece). SO: I dyed the skirt into a more autumn colour! Look how lovely it is now, the dark red colours turned out so well. I dyed the skirt two times: 1 time with wine-red dye but that colour was much lighter then I thought, so I dyed it another time adding some black. The fact that there are some color differences is lovely. What do you think of this 'from beast to beauty'? And how would you style this red skirt?

OUTFIT/PHOTOGRAPHY // Should I just keep chasing pavements?

Pull&Bear bag, jumper - Zara skirt - Maison Scotch necklace - Unknown watch
This new skirt is so lovely, bought it a week ago when my exam didn't went that well, hihi. Lately I'm not sure of what 'my style' is anymore. I really want to wear different things but I still end up a lot with the same (black) things. When I saw this skirt at zara it cought my eye so fast! The print is certainly my style but the model of the skirt is a lot different: it is real tight opposite to all those wide and comfy items I own. But it was time for a change and so I bought the skirt. I already wore it a lot lately so the skirt was a good investment (and that for only 12,95)
I shot these photos with Willemijn last friday, we both had an early weekend and we went into the city that day, which was perfect! We went for a little shopping, took some photographs (so credits for Willemijn!), laughed a lot, had the beloved Bairro Alto cheesecake and a lot more! For now I just got back for the very first time at the gym with my sister and that isn't so bad, maybe I'll go do that more often: it was such a good way to start this (mon)day! Have a lovely week! And do you like these outfit&photographs?

INSTAGRAM // I wish we could wander together forever

1. "I wish we could wander together forever", don't know if I saw that quote somewhere or that those words just came in to my mind, but I like the quote. 2. Put some new clothes on my rail, (AW warderobe?) I'm in love with the black&white and the wine-red&natural-pink those colour combinations are lovely. 3. Dreaming about when we were still in Venice/Italy, I wish to go abroad again real soon 4. Got this really, really, good brownie at Bagels Beans, and those purple glasses (new) were a present from Paul 5. Another throwback to when in Antwerp, I love this photo of Paul and me 6. Last week Janne and I visited nijmegen again, this was at 'Make My Day' they sell amazing thingies 7. Got a new skirt! Right now I'm on my way to Nijmegen to do some shopping with Willemijn and I'll shoot this outfit! 8. The lovely interior of 'Fika' 9. Photo from my last outfit post!
And for now: WEEKEND! I'm in love with that. This week felt like forever but at the other hand time flies, my first period of school is already over and the exams are almost here. and after that there is a week off! That will be my (late) autumn break, I can't wait for that time and visit the woods when all the leaves are coloured brown yellow and red! Anyways, have a lovely weekend!

LOVELY LOCATIONS // Fika, Nijmegen

Van Broeckhuysenstraat 5, Nijmegen
Here is the second "Lovely Locations"! Janne and I went to Fika; a coffee/lunch/drink/wine/beer -(lunch)cafe, yes so much possibilities, with a beautiful Scandinavian style. This time I brought my camera and shot some photographs myself. I'm more and more exploaring the 'M' on my camera and that turned out well for these photos. And I think I'm even proud of these ones I made. BUT: In a cafe which looks like this you could never ever take a bad photo, it is almost like this interior made the photos for me. Fika's interior. It is perfect. That is the only word. The Scandinavian atmosphere gives me so much (interior) inspiration and makes me want to chance my room again (yes again). But then I'd love to change more than just the possition of my things.
Anyways, let's not digress, this post is about Fika. Just like at Met Passie they sell Naturfrisk, which made me so happy because (especially the elderflower) it's so good! Plus the bottles are beautiful designed. Since my last "Lovely Locations": have you tried it yet? We also had a little lunch: an Open tösti, with parma ham, mozarella, pesto and little tomatoes. It was lovely too (the word lovely just is lovely I'm sorry for using it so much)! On the lunch menu are about 15 varieties of smörrebröd: richly filled sandwiches, who are not too big so that you can order about 2 or 3 of them for a complete lunch. Or 1 just like we did, since we weren't that hungry. I really like the fact that the smörrebröds are that small to choose more. That makes choosing less hard: you can easily pick both! I would love to go back soon to taste the other smörrebröds. Have you ever been to Fika?

OUTFIT // I live and breathe under the moon

Costles hat - Style Moi crop top - Vintage cardigan, necklace - Bershka skirt - SheInside coat - Dr. Martens shoes
Another autumn outfit.. I like it and yet not, that the weather is getting colder again. For now it always still is just a little too hot or a little to cold, that's where layering comes in: a coat, a cardigan, and a crop top. I love how you can still see the red cardigan underneath my coat and that it matches the hat. That red colour is just the best.
The two black items I'm wearing are new: a suedine button down skirt from Bershka, yes I've let those buttoned skirts get to my head too. I really love the A-line and the fact that the outfits from clueless (and other 'vintage' movies) are coming back. I hope to get myself an A-line skirt without buttons too! The ribbed crop top is from Style Moi which came in last week I think. The fit is so comfortable and it is not too cropped! Right now the weather actually is lovely; the sun is here! I'm off to work in two hours, selling some ice-creams :) What are your sunday plans? & What do you think of my look?

From beast to beauty - DIY see through butterfly frame

I still like to call my DIY posts "From beast to beauty". If we go way, wayyyyy back this was that very first post of that category. If you'll click you see where I got the word beast for this title. Anyways this is more an interior DIY then a clothing one. But I thought why not give it a try and see how it will turn out.
So I did a DIY for a see through frame, which you see in stores a lot lately. They are so beautiful, yet sometimes a bit expensive (I love the ones with rose/golden little frames).  It is not a very big secret that you can easily make one yourself: all you need is two photo frames and then replace the cardboard of the first frame with the glass of the second frame. Get it?
Then you can put anything you love between the two glasses. I've always wanted a stuffed butterfly, but you'll need way more money for those then the see through frames from the shops. A while ago I found this lovely vintage butterfly book in a secondhand shop in my town. And when I was thinking about what to put between the glasses my eye fell on that vintage little book. So I carfully cutted out a butterfly from the book and there was my 'see through butterfly frame'. NOTE: if you don't have a fancy vintage butterfly book you can also just print out one from Pinterest or anywhere else on the internet and that can be something else then a butterfly too. Or you can put something else between them, like a post-card, some dried plants/flowers, a quote. Anything. Do you like this DIY? & Are you going to make this see through frame too?
