Good morning and hello to another outfit! A favourite one of mine since this pretty skirt came in the mailbox. My roommate gave me this tip about the great collection Asos has at the moment, and since I saw this skirt in her wishlist I knew I had to get it. That same night I orderd it and a few days later I shot some outfit photos with this new favourite.

It has already been a while since I went to this lovely location. I think about two weeks ago, but I still wanted to share it upon here. I had a weekend off that time and went to Fresca in Nijmegen with Paul and my parents. The plan was to get some coffee, but we ended up ordering some cake ass well. That because you just can't say no to that showcase filled with goodies. I mean look at it. Autumn was already there but it was such a nice warm day, so we were able to sit outside.

Hi there! Here is that new outfit I talked about in my last post. It took me a weekend to find time again. Beeen busy with some really great things, which included a lot of interior shopping! More about that later. This outfit was shot already two weeks ago. I do have time to shoot photographs, and to sort them out, but then the writing part remains untouched for a long time. But here it is, a new post.

Since I started my internship at Foam my blog got a grand total of 2 posts. And this is my fourth week. Yesterday night I finally found a little time (read: stayed up too late) to write some blog posts (the outfit in the middle of this set will be online soon!). It was time for some blogging again, and I'm glad I took a little time to write, the photos were already there.

Good morning! My second week has already begun and it already is such a while back since Paul and I went to Belgium for a summer road trip. I've had this post ready for a long time but since my internship there was no time left for posting some things upon here at the end of the day. But this weekend I had time to write this post and to shoot some new outfit photos! For now this (very late, sorry not sorry) post of when we were in Gent.
First of all, Gent is such a beautiful city! Just like Brugge the city has the most amazing vintage/old architecture plus a great atmosphere. After we visited Brugge we drove to Gent, and went into the city right after we arrived. I still remember these days were so careless and free, such a difference with the busy working life right now. In Gent we took our time and wandered around the city too. But also took a boat trip, which was really fun! The canals are a lovely place to sail through. Furthermore we admired the pretty houses, had more Belgian beers, ate some waffles, ohh and we had the best chocolate cake at LKKR, you can read a bit more about that here. I love the first photo most, that place in Gent was my favourite part of the city. From on the bridge you have a great view over those pretty houses near the water. Have you ever been to Gent?

Good morning! Since my last Zakynthos post plus the fact that my internship begins next monday, I feel like summer is completely over. That's not the fact, I know, the weather has been soo good here! Yesterday I sat outside almost the entire day, soaking up the sun. But on monday I went to Amsterdam to settle some things at Foam. Afterwards I stopped by at Brandy Melville... that's never good for my wallet. But it is good for my closet: got myself a new jumper! It is so soft and warm, perfect with a pair of black jeans or a skirt! Oh I also got a new necklace at Forever21, love the light stones. The little wallet is my all time favourite since Zakynthos. Prints like that are so beautiful!
Another item which will match my internship are these new glasses I got from Polette. Last week I went to their blogger event for the new e-polette. I met up with Joanne in Utrecht and together we took the train to Amsterdam. The event was fun! As I said, I met Joanne and some other bloggers and it was really nice to meet them! Polette told us more about their new e-polette and we all got the e-brooklyn (the frame which you can see on the photos).
The e-polette protects your eyes by filtering the blue light from screens all around you. Like your phone, laptop or sometimes even lamps can affect your eyes (more info at Polette). For my internship I'll be spending most of my time behind a computer screen so these new glasses are perfect to wear to the office! I already tested the glasses a few times (read: wearing them non stop, since I'm so happy that I can wear glasses with a reason now) and the blue light filter really works. Looking at my laptop with these glasses on makes my eyes way more at ease! Oh and it lowers the headache I got a lot after spending a few hours behind my laptop. This frame wasn't the one I would choose (in love with the Dean View from Polette) but I love how it looks on me, and I'll certainly wear this one a lot! What do you think of my new items? And how about me with glasses on?

So here it is, the last Zakynthos post. I guess I have to believe now that the hollidays are finally over. Don't really know how to feel about that. Right now I'll probably be at Foam for the first day! But with this post a dreamy throwback to our stay in Greece this summer. A bit different and longer than usual because this day there we saw so many pretty places!
During our stay in Zakynthos (Greece) we rented a quad so that we could explore the whole island. I've never been on a quad before so only the riding itself was exiting. Our first stop: Navigo beach, or Shipwreck beach. It was about a 0,5/1 hour drive to that magical place. While we were getting closer the mountains got bigger, or maybe I need to say higher. Some roads were pretty scary, because they were really close to the abyss/cliffs. When we walked to the view point the cliffs were even higher, a bit frightening if you'd ask me. I was shaking while taking the photographs above haha. But the view over the sea and the Shipwreck beach, the cliffs and the extremely blue water was worth it. I'm so glad we visited Navigo beach from on the top!
When we drove away to other unseen places we got a flat tire! But that did lead us to something good, we stopped at a point on the road with on each side 3 tourist shops. The people there helped us to get in contact with the owner of the quad and let us taste all their home made delights, which were really jummy! After a while someone came to fix our quad, but that didn't work.. But in return for the flat quad we got a car to tour further! Which really wasn't a bad thing. It was around lunch time and we stopped at a place/beach called Alykes, Katastari. As you can see on the photos above: a lunch with a view. We sat right next to the beach and had the most amazing pita with tzatziki.
After another drive through all the amazing nature and the pretty but scarry cliffs we ended up at Porto Limionas, a little bay with another pretty view and a perfect place for a swim. There we some small caves we swam into, and jumped from the rocks into the sea. The water was so bright, and also really deep. If you're ever in Zakynthos really go to this amazing place, it's worth the drive.
After Porto Limionas we drove back towards our appartment, but before going back we had a last stop in Keri for dinner. We sat down near the road and near a small town just above/next to the ciffs and the seaside. The place was called "Sunset taverna", and what a beautiful sunset it was. We had an amazing view and saw the sun sink in the sea while we ate more tzatziki, mousaka and some roasted pork from the grill. This restaurant was the perfect place to end the 'touring day'. It was amazing to see more of the island with a quad/car.
What do you think of this post? Have you ever toured through an (Greek) island before? And have you started school/work jet? Anyways, have a lovely new week!

Since I took this dress with me to Zakynthos, it became my favourite dress this summer. Can't believe it is september already and Zakynthos is such a while back. It still feels like a few days ago. I'm also still posting some Zakynthos photos on Instagram, and there also wil be a last Zakynthos blog post. I guess I just don't want the hollidays to be completely over. Anyways, about this outfit. I went to the centre of our village with Willemijn and we took some photos of this favourite summer dress. I love how they turned out! The dress is so light and comfy, but also kind of chique in a sort of way. Not that good in discribing haha. I combined it with a lot of black (favourite color). A vintage bag, floppy hat, my all time favourite Birkenstocks and a black choker. In love with those lately, they can really finish your outfit and give it something extra. What do you think of this dress? &/or outfit?

Good morning! Time flew by so fast, soon it will be september and that means the end of the summer hollidays. Which is sad, but exiting too: the second week of september I'll be starting my internship at Foam Amsterdam! I'm reallly exited and curious about how my internship will be. Have you ever done an internship? And did you like it? For now a little Instagram update!
1. Delicious icecream after shooting some photos with Willemijn. I had yoghurt with blood orange wich was so good! 2. Some details of those photos we took, soon on the blog! 3. Changed my room in Utrecht a little, because I'll stay there most of the time during my internship. Bought this new mirror at IKEA. It was a bit expensive for me but I'm so happy I bought this pretty thing. Because it's very wide it's perfect for some mobile outfit photos, but next to that and more importantly it makes my room look a whole lot bigger. 4. Cameo Island, still dreaming away to that place now and then 5. Tried out these mug cakes, they were very tasty. 6. Pretty houses in Brugge, check out my last post to see more about my stay in that city. 7. Breakkie outside, including the best fresh figs out of my family's garden 8. In the sea at Zakynthos! 9. Outfit from the other day in Nijmegen!

A few days (oops maybe a few weeks) has passed since Paul and I took the car out for a road trip to Belgium. I was busy sorting out the photographs for a while and since last week the sun hit the Netherlands too so spent most of my time in the sun. Which isn't a bad thing but that ment a hold for some blog posts. Anyways, here a post about our trip to Brugge.
This summer I made two trips by car, and ohh I love to just ride with some music and the wind blowing through the car (because no airco). We drove from Nijmegen to Brugge and arrived there around noon. We went into the city right after we checked in and ohh what a beautiful city! I'm a real sucker for old, vintage, romantic buildings and Brugge is full of them. I really had to make sure this post wasn't only filled with photos of buildings, haha. But those are what makes Brugge so special, for me a least.
We mostly wandered around the city, visited some chocolate shops, enjoyed the sun (we were lucky with the weather) which was, both, amazing! I loved theone street that was fully filled with chocolate stores. Oh and the other thing we did a lot was sit on terraces outside and enjoyed the Belgian beer. We went to more cafés but we both loved "Het Poatersgat" most! It's a basement with the biggert assortment of specialty beers I've ever seen! I always love to watch people walk by while drinking something outside (anywhere). The next day in Brugge we also went to "Brouwerij de Halve Maan" (brew the Crescent) and saw how their beer was made by a tour through the old brewery. I would really recommend a visit there! And to Brugge in general! After the morning in Brugge we drove to Gent and had 1,5 days there too. Soon a little post about Gent will be up here too, Have you ever been to Brugge?

Going up the country! Anna, Willemijn and Romy and I gave that name to our camping trip last summer. This summer we went out camping again (this time only the three of us) and that name kinda is the camping trip name for us now we plan to get up the county every year. If you wonder where the name came from, check out the song from Canned Heat. We only wish we lived at the time of Woodstock.. Anyways, we took a road&camping trip, and had the best time!
It was about a 1,5 hours ride to the campside and once we were there we could easily set up our tents. Everything came so easy and there was nothing we had to do. It is such a good thing that there are no worries when you're on a holliday. The first day we visited the town nearby, had a small dinner by the tents and went to the beach in the evening. We watched the sunset from the car and finished that with an amazing view at the seaside. The sea during twilight/sunset is such a lovely thing to see.
The next day we went to the beach again, but this time to soak up the sun and for a swim! We were lucky with the weather during our stay! The sun was there the whole day, every day. The sea was really cold, but we all took a swim! In the evening we went out for dinner at the boulevard and had delicious pasta's. Afterwards we went back to our tents and sat there talking and looking at the stars. I experimented a little with my camera plus the shutter and out of that the last photo of the stars was made! We didn't went to a specific place or city, all we knew that near the beach would be a nice thing. It was more the fact that we went up the country and a little camping holliday together! If you're reading Ann&Willy; I had the loveliest time with you! Ohh and I'm in love with the second photo of the wind in their hair! Have you ever been camping? And what about the "Going up the country" song?

Heya I'm back again! It has been a little while since my last blog post, that was because I went out camping with Anna and Willemijn. We took a road trip (with the car filled up with camping stuff) to the seaside and had the best three days! More about that soon, since I'm still sorting out the photos. I still got so many things to post, like the last part of Zakynthos, and then I also took another trip to Brugge and Gent. I seriously don't know how I to keep my blog up to date with my life. Since all the trips have sadly came to an end. But by posting them later I can relive the lovely holliday moments again.
Well.. for now: LKKR in Gent. It was our last day in Gent and Paul and I were looking for a place to get some coffee while we came across this lovely small cafe. We went in and had that coffee, including some really good chocolate cake! I love how the big windows give LKKR such bright light, and the minimal interior gives the cafe such a great atmosphere. You can have some coffee with cake there, like we did, but you can also get a fresh sandwich (to go). And they also serve some beers and wines. Oh and how cool is their menu paper?! I would love to go back to this place some day! Have you ever been here?

Today I'll share with you the second part of my trip to Zakynthos. Looking back at these photos makes me wanna go back so badly. I wish I could spend my time a little more on that amazing island, since we were there for 8 days. Way too short if you'd ask me. We stayed at Korfiati in Agios Sostis, a small town at the cost, the very first photo is our view from the porch we had. Waking up to those colourfull flowers and the sea every day was such a lovely thing.
I loved the town we were in, the only bad thing was the big amount of other Dutch people. But the beauty of the island compared to that. In the 8 days we had there we mostly enjoyed the sun and the sea (and the pool, and eachother, and lots of tzatziki with pita bread). But we also went out to explore more of Zakynthos. We wandered around in Zakynthos City, went for long walkes at the beach, took a boat trip and we spend a day touring around the whole island, more about that last thing in the next & last Zakynthos post (#3). The boat trip was amazing, that's where the photos from the caves and rocks come from. During the boat trip we went on a little turtle spotting tour, sailed to Turtle Island and visited the Keri Caves. I loved the Keri Caves most, it was so amazing to see the mountains and the rocks meet the sea, we also stopped there for a swim, and swam into the caves. The nature near the sea in Zakynthos is so beautiful. Ohh and I love the under water photo Paul took from me, the water everywhere was so clear. That was the sea near our appartment, During that swim, while snorkling we saw a very big turtle! So.. in short we had the best time in Zakynthos! What place did you visit this summer? And have you ever been to Zakynthos?
