Hey, something from Delft? Yes, far away from my hometown Nijmegen, well, a little far away. A while ago I visited Delft together with Paul. We had a lovely day there, and Delft is such a pretty city! There is another post about Delft to be found here. Anyways, this post is about a Lovely Location in Delft!
After a boat trip Paul and I came across Hills&Mills and deceided to have lunch there. Which was a very good decision. Everything they serve is pure, lots of vegan thingies (yess), their intentions are doing the right thing and they enjoy that everything and everone is connected. That is what's on their website, but they also tell you that in person when you sit down there. I had the bread with home made hummus eggplant, peppers, zucchini and some extra avocado, and Paul had the bread with lamb, pepper, mint yogurt and spinach. It was such a lovely lunch!
Hills stands for the Himalaya and Mills for the Dutch windmill. "This name fits us, far and near, local and exotic, our roots ... in short: our story" - Hills&Mills. I love the story that they give behind their name. On every table there is a beautiful notebook in where you can leave your own story. It is so amazing to read a story of someone who has sat on the same table as you do while reading it. In short: Hills&Mills is such a special place. At the same time you're far, far away for a while and at the same time you're just there in Delft. It's an amazing place to spend some time and to eat something. Hills&Mills is also a place for dinner, I hope to come back there someday for that! Have you ever been to Hills&Mills?
