It was Autumn when Janne came to me with a very nice thing/opportunity. She was asked to create an article for this new upcoming & local magazine, and she was asked if she knew other 'bloggers' based or origined around our home town. I'm still so happy Janne came to me to ask if I wanted to join. It led to my very first article in a (real) magazine!
O-Magazine is a magazine for, by and about the people living in the Overbetuwe (In Dutch). In which they share stories about the people, initiatives and all the things that beautify the Overbetuwe. This first issue includes local interviews and stories, food from around here, photography series, interior and a lot more. One spread is dedicated to an idea of Janne and me, specified on locations for (outfit) photos in the Overbetuwe. We both have our roots in this place, we grew up there, each of us in another town, and I also went to high school there. Since we both have a blog we're constantly searching for pretty places to shoot outfit photos. Since the Overbetuwe is quite "green", and we prefer urban-city-like backgrounds and old architecture, we created an article including pretty places to shoot outfit photos in the Overbetuwe (that mostly aren't too green).
We took one day and a car to tour through and around our hometown, searching places and locations where we would shoot our outfit photos. We numbered it down to a selection of eight locations in six towns which we photographed for the article. Touring around was so much fun, exploring our own hometown and being a tourist there. I really love how the spread turned out, the overall picture looks so lovely. Ohh and those little illustrations O-Magazine added are so pretty. Thanks so much O-Magazine! What do you think of these pretty pages?
